SAILING THE SHALLOWS
Mallards Ducks
Acrylic on Canvas
Painting size: 12” x 24”
“The green head and yellow bill of the mallard duck is a very familiar sight in North America and the mallard may be the most abundant and wide-ranging duck on earth. These two males escorting the female are shown out of breeding plumage when their colouring is much closer to that of the female. They looked as though they were out on a lazy afternoon “sailing the shallows” along the shoreline.”
